We met Grandma Ruthe and her friend Linda for lunch at Rosa Maria's in San
Bernadino, a place Joel remembers going to often when he was a kid. He and his sister Louise played soccer at
Wildwood park just down the street.
We took our lunch to
Wildwood park and let the kids play and get some Grandma Ruthe time.
Joel - having fun too...
Ethan is a bit of an aggressive one; he wants to do everything Evie does. He just goes for it whether it's dangerous or not - and has plenty of bumps and bruises to show for it.
That's our little monkey
Ethan was excited to be in the tree. Grandma Ruthe was making him laugh too. She is standing right in front of him.
Evie is gathering supplies to make a birds nest. Ethan is figuring out that
dandelions don't taste good.
Joel and his mom Ruthe
Evie is making a birds nest in the flat spot on this tree. Ethan is just waiting for her to walk away so he can
destroy it...
...and Ethan
destroying Evie's bird nest. Somehow she was so sweet about it - she must have rebuilt it
at least three times.
Did I mention that Ethan has a lot of bumps and bruises. Poor guy. He was reaching for the picnic table bench and missed and hit his head on the table leg.
I feel so bad for him
every time I look at this picture. Not only was he tired and has a bit of a cold now he has this knot on his head...
We just pulled off the freeway on our way back to Joel's dad's place and got a glimpse of this totally
bitchen Pontiac F
iero. Don't get too excited, I didn't see a for sale sign in the back window.
