Thai, it's what's for Dinner

We had dinner at a Thai restaurant a few doors down from our hotel and our waitress (in the picture) just loved the kids, especially Ethan but he was shy around her for some reason. Evie loved up on her though. She just got done brushing Evie's hair. (We just got back from the park and I'll have to admit she was a bit more raggle taggle than usual). Our waitress is from Bangkok and has lived in Hong Kong for 7 years now.

Our whole dinner she tried to hold Ethan but he was being shy and wouldn't let her. She brought a bowl of chocolate candy to the table and he finally gave her a smile, but no hug. She told Ethan that if he gave her a hug she would take him to the store and buy him a toy. Evie quickly gave her a hug and when Ethan saw Evie do it he must have thought it was safe and finally gave her a hug too. The waitress took them to 7-11 and bought them a treat. You'll have to check out the video below. The kids really get so much attention.

  1. If everyone could be so loving a generous, what a world we'd live in. I hope you gave her a big tip.

  2. Yes...everyone seems so sweet to the kids. Are they like that will all children or are the "toeheads"(blondies) so different for the people there?

  3. I'm always surprised at the affection your kids seem to get over there. People are kind to our kids, but it's not Halloween everyday here like it seems to be there (treats). (ha ha) What a neat place!
