The kids and I went to the zoo for a bit. The zoo closes next month for the winter so we are trying to go a few times a week until then. We had a fantastic day to be outside. The kids were excited to ride the train.
The kids had good luck catching butterflies in the pavilion. Spraying your hand with sugar water helps.
The butterfly Evie is holding just hatched out of its cocoon. We saw it attached to the cocoon through a viewing window and the employee you see in the doorway picked it off and handed it to Evie. She was so stoked that she could hold it before it flew for the first time. She was so gentle with it.
